JenTok (Tok Oei Kee)
Artist • Educator • Creative Founder of Mystic Gardens Pte Ltd
JenTok (Tok Oei Kee) is a Singapore-based artist whose works explore the quiet beauty of nature and the emotional landscapes within it. Through layered ink, watercolor, and mixed media on calico, her paintings capture moments of stillness, reflection, and renewal — reminding us of the subtle harmony between the natural and inner worlds.
Her artistic process is meditative and intuitive, often inspired by botanical forms, textures, and the cycles of growth and decay found in nature. Each piece begins as a conversation between material and emotion — transforming the everyday into something poetic and enduring.
Beyond the studio, JenTok is the Founder and Director of Mystic Gardens Pte Ltd, a creative enterprise dedicated to art, wellness, and nature-based learning. Through workshops, installations, and community art projects, she bridges the healing qualities of nature with human creativity, encouraging others to slow down, reconnect, and find calm through the act of making.
My art is rooted in stillness — a space where the mind softens, colours breathe, and nature speaks quietly to the soul.
My Story
My journey into art began as a personal return - to nature, to stillness, and to a more mindful way of living. After years in the health and wellness industry, I turned to art-making as a form of reflection and restoration.
What began with ink and watercolor on calico soon expanded into a broader conversation with materials - from printmaking and textile-based experiments to installation and community projects. Each process, whether fluid or textile, becomes a way to explore how memory settles and transforms through time.
I'm drawn to natural textures -the way fabric holds pigment, the way paper absorbs water, the way light passes through layered surfaces. These small moments mirror our emotional landscapes: fragile, unpredictable, but deeply alive.
Through Mystic Gardens, my creative wellness brand, I extend this philosophy into workshops that blend art, mindfulness, and sustainability. Whether guiding others through botanical art activities or creating large-scale installations from recycled materials, I see art as a bridge - connecting self, community, and the natural world.
