The Nature Within is a Monoprint and Silkscreen on PaperHand-printed using botanical materials and original ink drawings.

 

Description

The Nature Within was developed through a combination of hand-drawn illustrations and experimental printmaking. JenTok first created detailed ink drawings on transparent sheets, which were then manually transferred through silkscreen printing. These layered images rest upon a monoprint background made using preserved ferns and other botanical materials, capturing delicate natural textures that evoke the quiet rhythm of forest life.

 

Working with earthy and metallic inks, Jennifer selected each hue to reflect the emotional tone and layered meaning of the piece. Through controlled use of colour, texture, and negative space, the print becomes a tactile, meditative reflection on growth, fragility, and resilience.
