Nature & Wellness Through Printmaking
Monoprint & Relief Print Series | Mixed Media Printmaking
Overview
This printmaking series explores stillness, mindfulness, and emotional connection through layered monoprint and relief printing techniques. Inspired by botanical textures, organic rhythms, and natural forms, the works investigate how repetitive mark-making and material experimentation can become reflective and restorative processes.
Through layering, texture, and transparency, the series captures moments of quiet observation and explores printmaking as both a visual language and contemplative practice.
Creative Process
Using both conventional and unconventional printmaking tools, the works were developed through repeated layering, texture transfers, and spontaneous mark-making. Organic forms, leaves, floral elements, and natural impressions became visual references throughout the process.
The unpredictability of ink, pressure, and texture played an important role in shaping each composition, allowing the works to evolve intuitively through experimentation.
Artist Statement
This series reflects my interest in the relationship between nature, material exploration, and emotional wellbeing. Through printmaking, I explore how slow, repetitive processes can create spaces for reflection, mindfulness, and quiet connection with the natural environment.
